snow is here

its been quite cold the last week or so anywaz but winter and snow truley arrived tonight! its a little early to be so bad, no? at about 23h45 earlier there was amost half a centimetre of snow on the ground and growing slowly. cars were starting to pile up at the bottom of my street. some sliding down into others and others not being able to drive up, they forgot chains or possibly even winter tyres! its that really fine (dangerous?) type of snow that realy gets blown about the place by the wind which is quite striong from the north west. and whats going on in donegal, maybe i should bring me and my skiis there!

Met Éireann has issued a severe weather warning predicting heavy snowfalls in the northwest of the country between midday tomorrow and midnight on Friday.Blizzard conditions and snowdrifts are likely in counties Donegal, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim and Cavan.Strong to gale force northerly winds will also occur, giving blizzard conditions at times and causing some snowdrifts.
